Biyografi
Tunga Öztek, Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi 3. sınıf resim bölümü öğrencisidir. Kendi resim portfolyosunu oluşturan Öztek'in eserlerinde gölgesel biçim ve sokak, şehir manzaraları öne çıkar. Sanatını galeri kısımlarıyla daha geniş kitlelere ulaştırmayı hedefliyor.
Artist Statement
My paintings focus on capturing striking yet ordinary moments of everyday
life. I take inspiration from 19th-century flâneurs and their urban observations, blending this perspective with contemporary spaces and details. Elements like shopping malls, plastic slippers, or paper coffee cups may appear in my work as symbols of today’s urban experience.
Visually, I adopt a painterly approach that favors open form and expressive brushwork. I often work with thick, gestural strokes, allowing layers to appear with different mediums. While the scenes I depict may seem accidental or fleeting at first glance, they are shaped by close observation and a deliberate pictorial interpretation.
This way of working reflects not only my immediate surroundings, but also
my interest in the cultural, sociological, and visual languages of the geography I inhabit. I aim to expand this visual vocabulary by observing different cities and cultures, creating new visual resonances within my painting.
Mimar Sinan Üniversitesi'nde resim bölümünde eğitim gören Tunga Öztek, sanat alanındaki bilgisini sürekli genişleterek kendini geliştirmektedir.
Öztek, resimlerindeki detaylara verdiği önem ve kullanmış olduğu gölgesel biçim tekniği ile izleyicilerine farklı bir bakış açısı sunmayı hedefler. Sanat eğitimini ilerleterek eserlerindeki derinlik ve anlamı artırmayı amaçlar.
